Raglan-based coconut yoghurt makers Raglan Food Co are celebrating 10 years since co-founders Tesh Hearth (nee Randall) and Seb Walter sold their first jar of coconut yoghurt to locals in the small Waikato coastal town. The decade long journey started as a kernel of an idea to make a dairy-free yoghurt which was so good that anyone would enjoy it. And so began the dream to lift the vibe on plant-based eating and win the hearts and tastebuds of those looking for a delicious yoghurt that was kinder to the planet.
Now ten years on, the company has an enticing range of coconut yoghurt and kefir smoothies including three tasty new products which hit shelves this month.
The new line-up includes a limited-edition New Zealand Mānuka Honey yoghurt in 700g, a larger size of their popular Dulce De Leche Caramel yoghurt in 400g and finally, a Vanilla Bean Gut Health Kefir packed with billions of probiotics.
To mark their 10th Birthday, Raglan Food Co is also donating proceeds from their November 700g yoghurt sales to Auckland City Mission and the Whāingaroa Environmental Centre – two charities close to the company’s heart. This also forms part of their commitment to community and sustainability and a way to pay forward the support Raglan says they have received over the last decade. There are also plenty of prizes to be won when purchasing any Raglan Food Co product in stores this month.
