Owners of this home frequently hosted guests and wanted them to experience a luxurious and modern main bathroom when they stayed.
Two types of tile feature in the design.
The predominant Calacatta Gold on the floor and main wall surfaces has a bold marble design, with striking vein patterns and a flush of gold.
This is contrasted with a dark matt tile with cement and metallic details, on the shower and the vanity wall.
The vanity itself, with its fluted cabinetry design, also has a dark painted finish, while a full height mirror on the wall behind helps visually enlarge the space.
Elevating the freestanding bathtub on a raised platform adds to the bathroom’s sense of drama, and the extensive lighting plan includes LED lighting to the bath step and a niche above the bath with a quirky tubular light fitting.
Fittings with a gunmetal finish create a moody, luxurious atmosphere, complementing the overall aesthetic
For the TIDA judges, this bathroom design demonstrated a perfect balance of a light and airy ambience and sleek design elements, invoking a sense of opulence and modernity.
