It’s here we find owner-operators and life partners Marcus Berndt and Sarah Connor doing their very good and clever things. Marcus has built himself a reputation as one of the region’s best chefs and he certainly draws applause from us. He and Sarah present an ever-changing, brilliant-value tasting menu at their tiny restaurant. The food reflects a fine-dining approach and Marcus’s skill and knowledge is evident, as is his willingness to experiment. His dégustation menu offers intriguingly delicious little extras in every dish. Very happy memories are made of a traverse through Marcus’s latest tastings which carry all the way through to his carefully composed desserts.
